Modern desert homes and commercial buildings often have flat sections, low slopes, and design demands that standard shingles were never built for. Put the wrong system on that kind of roof and it leaks or bakes the building below. Dove Roofing and Construction installs the specialized systems those roofs actually need — reflective foam, metal, tile, and flat membrane.
We serve homeowners and businesses across Riverside and San Bernardino counties, matching the system to the building instead of forcing every roof into the same solution. Specialized roofing rewards experience, because the wrong material on the wrong roof fails fast and expensively.

When a flat roof starts leaking at the seams, waiting invites a bigger failure. Your message goes straight to David's phone, and we get back to you as soon as we're available — often the same day. No callbacks that never come.

No all-day waiting around. We give you a tight two-hour arrival window and show up inside it, so your day isn't held hostage to a vague "sometime between 8 and 5."

We're open Monday through Saturday, 7am to 7pm, and closed Sundays. Call (760) 702-7633 and we'll respond as soon as we can.

In this climate, a roof that soaks up heat costs you every single month on the cooling bill — and a flat roof full of seams is a leak waiting for the next rain.
First, the relentless sun turns a dark, absorbent roof into a heat sink that bakes the space below and drives your air conditioning to run nonstop. Then the few hard rains each year find every seam and joint that a conventional flat roof relies on, and seams are exactly where those roofs fail. Meanwhile, standard materials on a low-slope roof simply don't shed water the way a pitched roof does, so water lingers and works its way in. Specialized systems solve all three problems at once: they reflect heat instead of absorbing it, they eliminate the seams, and they're engineered for exactly the conditions that defeat ordinary roofing.
That's why so many valley buildings run reflective and seamless systems rather than ordinary roofing — out here, the specialized option is often the smarter and cheaper-to-own one over time.
Not every roof calls for the same answer. Here are the systems our clients request most, each suited to a different building and need.
1. Reflective foam. The bright white surface you see on valley commercial buildings and mid-century homes. Seamless, reflective, and recoatable rather than replaceable — often the smartest choice for a flat roof out here.
2. Metal. The longest service life of anything we install, with excellent fire resistance and standout heat reflection for owners who want to roof once and be done for decades.
3. Tile. The signature desert look: it handles intense heat beautifully, lasts for decades, and meets the design standards many custom and HOA communities require.
4. Torch-down modified bitumen. A proven heat-welded membrane for low-slope roofs where foam isn't the right fit, giving a tough, water-tight surface.
5. Hot-mop built-up roofing. The traditional multi-layer flat-roof system, still a dependable choice for certain commercial and residential low-slope applications.
6. Cool-roof coatings. Reflective coatings that extend the life of an existing flat roof and cut the heat it passes into the building.

Every project starts with a free assessment and an honest recommendation about which system actually fits the building. Here are the six areas we handle.

We install and recoat spray foam roofing on flat and low-slope roofs, a seamless system whose real value shows up over the long run — recoated on schedule, it keeps protecting the building far longer than a conventional roof would.

Rather than tear off a sound foam roof, we recoat it at the right intervals, restoring the reflective surface and resetting the clock on its service life for a fraction of a full replacement.

We install standing-seam and other metal systems detailed for desert heat, fire resistance, and decades of low-maintenance service.

e install and detail tile so it performs as long as it looks the part, meeting HOA and custom-home design standards.

Torch-down and hot-mop built-up roofs for the low-slope situations where they're the right call over foam.

We assess the building, the use, and the budget, then recommend the system that genuinely fits — not the one with the highest margin.

I'm so happy with David & his crew at Dove Roofing. I just moved into a new place & started noticing the seller must have painted over leak discoloration. The discoloration was getting worse after a few days of rain so I was really panicking. I got estimates from several roofers. Dave's was among the most competitive, & he was able to start the work & finish the work that very same day. All the other roofers told me I'd have to wait several days or longer. Dove Roofing also gave me a quote on a full roof replacement for the next year or two, which was very competitive. He was punctual, communicated well, & attentive. His crew was professional as well. If you are looking for the best Redlands roofer, I highly recommend Dave Berumen & Dove Roofing. Professional & affordable Redlands roofing company--thanks Dove Roofing!
I had an amazing experience with David, the owner of Dove Roofing. My family has a home in Joshua Tree that needed emergency service during a historic wind/hail/snow storm. I was not in town and scrambled to find someone to show up promptly. I found Dove Roofing on a Google search and lucked out big time! Not only did David immediately answer my call when his phone rang but he was able to go out to my home within 30 minutes. He was patient with me on our call and understood the emergency nature of the situation since a portion of our roof blew off and was exposing some pieces of wood. David went to the location and braved the hail, extreme cold, and wind to go up on the roof and do some temporary repairs to prevent further damage from a second storm expected the next day. He was a lifesaver! David was in constant communication with me and was so easy to do business with. He was knowledgeable, honest, and very professional. I will definitely be using his company to do the necessary permanent repairs to my roof. If I could give him 10 gold stars, I would.
I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Dove Roofing. Gus, their estimator, came the same day I requested a quote and provided me with a price that seemed very reasonable for re-shingling my Park Model in Desert Hot Springs. We settled on a date that would work for them and me and just as promised the work was completed on time, no muss, no fuss. They cleaned up their mess and were out of here in less than 2 days. I would highly recommend Dove Roofing!
I was impressed by how fast, clean, and thorough their work was. Every day, they came in on time. They cleaned after themselves when they were done for the day. I have nothing to say but good things about this company. Best value and excellent service. I would definitely recommend and use them for any roofing needs that can come up in the future. Thank you Adrian and crew for the new roof over our home :)
I am selling my home and needed some minor roof repair work that a home inspector identified. I went on line and found Dove Roofing. I contacted the owner Dave and he responded promptly. Dave drove out to my home the next business day and gave a free estimate on the job details. He was thorough in explaining what work needed to be done to fix the roofing issues. Although this was a small job, Dave and Dove Roofing were available to fix the problem the same day. Very professional, down to earth, and demonstrated good work ethics. I would recommend this company.
David and his crew came out and saved the day!We had severe roof damage which in turn made it a nightmare during this last storm that came through 29 Palms! We had his company install a state of the art foam roof ! It looks like snow in the desert ! But highly effective in terms of the sun reflecting, and making it cooler in the building. It will be fabulous this summer when it’s 110° Honest, Reliable,. Highly recommend .

A foam roof isn't measured in a single lifespan the way a shingle roof is — its value is that it can be recoated on schedule rather than torn off and replaced. Maintained that way, with a fresh reflective coat applied at the right intervals, a foam roof can keep protecting a building for decades and outlast several conventional roofs.
It depends on the roof. Foam shines where you want a seamless, reflective, recoatable surface and good insulation value, which describes a lot of desert flat roofs. A torch-down or built-up membrane can be the better call on roofs with heavy foot traffic or particular drainage situations. We assess your specific roof and tell you which one actually fits rather than defaulting to one answer.
Yes. A reflective surface bounces a large share of the sun's heat away instead of letting it soak into the building, which lowers attic and interior temperatures and eases the load on your air conditioning. In a climate with a long, punishing cooling season, that shows up on the monthly bill and on the wear your system takes.
We do. We install specialized systems on homes — mid-century flat roofs, low-slope additions, custom tile — and on commercial buildings with large flat or low-slope decks. The same crew and the same standard apply whether it's a house or a storefront.
In most cases, yes, and that's the whole advantage of foam. If the existing foam is sound, we clean and prep it and apply a fresh reflective coat, restoring its performance and extending its life at a fraction of a full replacement. We'll inspect it first and tell you honestly whether a recoat will do or whether the roof needs more.
